STUDY 4: FOLIAR TREATMENT OF GRAPEVINE DOWNY MILDEW

Grapevine / Plasmopara Viticola

Grapevine downy mildew is a devastating fungal disease that affects vineyards around the world. Caused by the fungus Plasmopara viticola, the disease manifests itself as oily spots on the leaves, which eventually dry out and fall off, reducing the plant's ability to photosynthesise. In the absence of prevention and treatment measures, downy mildew can cause major crop losses and affect grape quality.

1. IBF in a mixed itinerary:
results of a field trial -2023 at Saint Aignan (33)

Bunches 04/08/2023

2. IBF as sole protection:
Results of field trials - 2023 in Bordeaux

Bunches 06/07/2023

Conclusion: approximately 30% efficacy on leaves and 60% on bunches in the event of average downy mildew pressure with ImmunRise alone.

3. IBF in combination with copper:
Results of field trials - 2023 in Bordeaux

Promising results have been obtained as part of the COPPEREPLACE project. This trial, which was subjected to artificial contamination and 12 sprays that encouraged the development of the pathogen, showed that the combination of IBF with 1/3 dose of copper was as effective on bunches as the full dose of copper

Conclusion: This trial in combination with the 1/3 dose of copper opens up prospects for reducing the use of copper with the active ingredient ImmunRise.
